The Skyhawks played 14 players in their season opener at home against Wright. The Skyhawks put three players in double figures led by returning Sophomore guard LA Fayne with 24 pts. Also in double figures were Freshman Jordan Brown with 15 pts. and returning Sophomore Jake Gaither with 11 pts. Sophomore transfer Sean Burress had a very strong first game at point guard for the Skyhawks with 9 assists and only 2 turnovers, while centers Kabine Kaba and Salot Young led the Skyhawks on the boards with 9 and 8 rebounds respectively. The Skyhawks will play their first road game on Saturday Nov. 4 when they travel to Prairie State. GO SKYHAWKS
